Bar-On, Mordechai

(1928- )
   He served in various capacities in the Israel Defense Forces, including the post of chief education officer. He was among the founders of the Peace Now Movement and served his first term as a member in the 11th Knesset elected on the Ratz (Citizens' Rights and Peace Movement) list. Retired from party politics, he remains a prominent peace activist and military historian.
